Competition Rules
These are the rules regarding our event punch card competition for free access to our Showcase of the Rising Stars in July 2026 and January 2027 where you can have a chance to win free studio time to record and produce a free product of 2-8 minutes in length with additional content creation and marketing campaigns.
Here we will decide who is a rising star in the community while boosting them up. First competition of the year is July 11, 2026 @7-11 PM
In-person sign ups begin @6 PM
Deadline to submit yourself is the day-of the competition @7 PM

How to Earn Punches
Punches can be earned by performing and attending workshops/events. Performing will earn you 2 punches per performance. Attendence at any workshop and event will earn you 1 punch per session or event. You can earn them at any venue or organization associated with the Love & Allies of ATX partnership started by Love is Human such as Love Riot Studios, Delilah's Front Porch, and Love is Human themselves. This means all events, open mics, open jams, and workshops with these partners are fair game to collect your punches.
Entry of Submissions
Submissions are taken when an applicant has reached all 12 punches on the card via email or in-person with proof of completion. In other words, you can take a photo of your completed punch card and attach it to an email with the following information:

Name of the Artist or Group

Medium chosen for submission (music or poetry)

Intended length of the product (within 2-8 minute limit)

List of equipment being used the day of the Showcase of the Rising Stars

Number of attendees that will be joining you for this (limited to 5 supporters)
If submitted in-person, you must have all of this information prior to showing up the day-of the Showcase of the Rising Stars with your fully punched card in hand. Deadline to submit is 1 hour after doors have opened.
Judges Panel
The 4 judges for the panel of this competition will be hand selected by the owners of Love Riot Studios the month prior to the Showcase of the Rising Stars in July 2026 and January 2027. Details about each judge will be included in marketing campaigns surrounding this competition around the time they are hand selected and will uphold the standard of etiquette and insight needed for this position.

Overall Impact
Judges are chosen based on their character, professional experience, and overall ability. Meaning the greater their skills in their chosen medium, the greater chances they have on being selected as long as they have a strong and kind heart.
Who is Eligible?
Anyone above the age of 18 is eligible for this competition as long as they are a singer, musician, rapper, poet, or band.
The exception to this rule is a student who has reached the age of 16+ with 3 written referrals from their voice, poetry, and/or music teachers along with parental consent. Parental consent is NON-NEGOTIABLE if you are younger than 18 years old and are attempting to enter this competition.
Competition Restrictions
No one who has performed at one of our Live Taping Mixers can submit themselves for entry if they have been a specialty performer within 3 months of the submission deadline.
i.e. If you performed at Live Taping Mixer and received the associate product from us in the month of June 2026 then you wouldn't be eligible for submission.
We are also ZERO TOLERANCE studio for any discrimination, harassment, violence, or abuse of any kind. Break this rule and you will be banned from this competition for 1 year minimum.
Final Product Guarantee
The prize of this competition is free studio access to complete a product of 2-8 minutes in length. Meaning singles, a small EP, and audio excerpts for production purposes. You will also receive free access to visual production services for graphics, head shots, websites, and marketing campaigns. All services will be hosted in house.
